Episode XCIV: More California

The last time I posted, I wrote about my California escapades. Guess what? This post is about some more California escapades. (!!!)

First of all, I was at UCLA last week (June 22-26), along with the rest of the lab, for a science conference. It was a good meeting, and we learned lots of neat things.

A scholarly luncheon

I also had some time to spend with my family in L.A., going to the Getty Villa...

...the Griffith Observatory...

...and Pink's hot dogs!

Second, as I type this very message, I am preparing to fly off to California yet again to go on a backpacking trip in the Sierras with the Norris boys and the Norrises (Dad's brother's folk). It should be a blast.

And only a couple of weeks after that, I will be returning AGAIN to California (yes, that would be my fourth trip to that state this summer) to get married!

Let me tell you a little bit about the wedding. First of all, I will be marrying my beloved, Megan Leigh Razak. She is 5'8", was born 6/5/1989, likes playing sports, making art and doing science, and the last four digits of her S.S.N. are 5308. If you want to know more about her, check out this previous post.

The wedding is being held Saturday, August 6, at 5:30 p.m. You are all welcome. If you have not received an invitation by email, check your spam folder. It is Meg who is sending out the emails. Even if it's not there, you are still invited. Below are the invitation documents, created by my lovely fiancee. If you plan to attend, it would be great if you would email Meg at mrazak17@gmail.com. To those who live far, far away- please don't feel obligated to come. We know many of you have just returned from California for some other person's marriage, and we really would rather not put people out. We promise we'll send you a video or something if you like. So there's that. Also, for more information on the wedding, check out our wedding site ewedding.com/sites/AdamAndMeg.

Finally, I know you are all dying to know- the color scheme/theme is daisies: green, white and yellow (it's Meg's favorite flower.) Please come with your favorite daisy-themed object. (Just kidding.)

That's all for now! Looking forward to seeing many of you on my next California trip! Or the next one after that!!
