February, as you may know, is a short month. This February, however, seemed to be filled with enough stuff for me to fit into two regular-sized months. Anyhow, now that February is long gone, let me tell you about a few things that occurred.
First, as I mentioned last time, I have been fairly busy with the band in which I am- practicing, recording, playing concerts and then eating IHOP pancakes late late at night.
In the meantime, I won this award called the Newmark Award for biochemistry at the
Also, this semester KU started up an official men’s club volleyball team. Tryouts were in February, and I made the “A” team. One nice thing about the team is that even in practice we are playing some really good volleyball, which is a lot of fun. Another nice thing is that we occasionally practice in the official stadium where the NCAA women’s team plays, where the floors are always freshly-finished, and where we even get to use the “clubhouse,” complete with Gatorade, TV and plush couches:
Another nice thing is that I get to wear a real
So in late February we played our first-ever tournament in
And now, ladies and gentlemen, please excuse me (and the rest of Lawrence) while we prepare for MARCH MADNESS!!!

Adam, do you ever fail at anything? It seems as though you don't. I half expect you'll soon be put in charge of the whole Egyptian empire.
I have to say: Steven, you are setting pretty low expectations for Adam. How big is this so-called "empire" these days?
More importantly though: Adam, nice shirt to wear while receiving your award. School spirit is underrated.
you are "practically perfect" in every way...just like Mary Poppins! :) So proud of you!!!!
First, I would gladly accept the emperorship of the Egyptian Empire.
Second, good detective work by Brian- I was simply giving a shout-out to my roots.
Third, the one way in which our team differs from the Olympic teams pictured in the post, is that we wear much less immodest shorts.
For Pete's sake Adam, I have to agree with Steven. Are you good at EVERYTHING you do? Congrats on the award and all other things you are busy excelling at. But most of all, I'm motivated to comment on this because, of all the possible things, I am most jealous about the NUMBER 17 KU JERSEY. Lucky talented punk. ;)
